Nigeria Update – Containerised cargo must be palletised
From the 1st January 2018, all containerised cargo destined for import into Nigeria must be palletised.
This follows the revised Nigeria import and export guidelines, as mandated by the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Finance,
This new guideline is applicable for all Nigerian bound containerised cargo departing from all origin ports as from the 1st of January 2018.
Failure to comply with the new directive will lead to re-shipment of your containerised cargo and any penalty associated with non-compliance will be borne by the local consignee.
Our SONCAP Account Managers are anticipating further updates to directives and guidelines on palletisation of imports into Nigeria in the upcoming weeks.
