SASO has announced the final timeframes for the change from SASO to SABER.
On January 1st 2020 SASO (Saudi Arabian Standards Organization) made the following announcement:
The conformity assessment bodies shall cease to register the COC as of 15-01-2020.
Any shipment orders that are not issued by Saber will be discontinued as of 15-02-2020.
Except for those that have a COC registered can enter before 15-01-2020.

Technical regulation for food safety in tools and appliances used in the kitchen | 15th January 2020 |
Technical Regulation for Adhesive Materials, Tapes, Glue and Related Products | 15th January 2020 |
Technical Regulation for Fire Fighting Equipments and Materials | 15th January 2020 |
Technical Regulation for Paper and Related Products | 15th January 2020 |

All other products listed as non-Regulated SASO certification can still be issued up until February 15th 2020. Thereafter that no further SASO certificates will be issued, all products have to be certified through SABER.
