Products requiring G-Mark
The Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) is now enforcing the requirement of G-Marking for Low Voltage (LV) Electrical Products and Toys.
Adopting the right approach will ensure you avoid costly fines, delayed shipments, or risk of company blacklisting at KSA Customs Ports and Borders.
The below product types fall under G-Mark Technical Regulations BD-142004-01 + BD131704-01 and require a valid G-Mark to be listed on the GSO Conformity Tracking System (GCTS) and a Gulf Type Examination Certificate (GTEC). The G-Mark certificate is needed in order to apply for the registration in the new SABER system which mandatory as of the 1st April 2019.

General requirements for the above products are:
Test Reports issued by a third-party ISO 17025/ILAC accredited laboratory, detailed photos of the products and their markings and a full copy of the Arabic manual.
Once issued, the G-Mark is supplied as a high-resolution image that can be printed/affixed to the product, manual and retail packaging. Marking the shipment packaging is optional but is advisable to ensure smooth clearance at customs.
